Done that…left Cardiologist’s office with a green light!
I am not a doctor. I am just saying that everyone who is about to begin an exercise program should see their doctor. Obviously weight, age and other health issues can play a role in your level of activity or intensity. A few months ago before gall bladder surgery, I underwent a lot of heart tests before being cleared for surgery. The results from all the heart tests were all great and there have been no complications from the surgery. Just wanted to get one more check up and discuss the exercise plan with the heart doctor. He said “it is about time!”
If you are at a place where you are trying to get started exercising, see your doctor and get some help with a plan.
That is why I have turned to my friend Paul Carrozza owner and founder of RunTex here in Austin. Besides being on the President’s Council for Physical Fitness and Sports, Paul has always been there to help people get healthier and achieve endurance. Paul has outlined a three week plan for me to get me moving. If you want, you can click on his picture below and follow the 12 week plan to get ready for a 5K. Hey! You don’t have to run it…Walk It! The Program has three different parts: Walkers…1st Time Runners… & Runners Wanting to Improve. I am almost at a crawl before you walk kind of person.
