Another benchmark and proof that sticking with the plan works.
When we got back from our weekend in Cleveland, I HAD gained 2.6 pounds. All in all I wasn’t too upset by the gain. I enjoyed the time with family and friends. I did a pretty good job of making better choices and certainly ate better than I would have a year ago.
Then I got right back into the swing of things and over the last four weeks I have lost 9 pounds and reached another check mark along the way. For a total of minus 50 pounds!
And the other benefits are showing up every day. Two sizes smaller in my jeans, moved three more notches on my NEW belt, giving away clothes that are too big and finding clothes in the closet that were too small…and now they fit. And my ability to get around and move is vastly improved. Yesterday evening I volunteered to do the grocery shopping. (Well actually I traded the shopping for an as of yet realized foot rub) Six months ago I would not have been able to get around the Super Store without sitting down for a rest. Not yesterday, I breezed through.
I still have over a hundred pounds to lose…but for now I will take this day and enjoy being 50 pounds lighter. And know that I have the ability to succeed at changing my body and becoming healthier.
