So I am a bit behind on my blog.
I appreciate those of you who have let me know you have enjoyed the blog and those who told me these last few days…”What’s up with the blog?”.
What’s up is I have been slammed. However, a lot of really positive things have happened this last week and I will catch up with those tomorrow.
First things first Tuesday’s weigh in…+1.8 lbs. I can handle this because I know I am healthier. I drop 5.8 lbs one week and gain 1.8 lbs the next. I don’t understand it all but then again I don’t have to.
This is what I know for sure. I am healthier today then I was 10 weeks ago. Here is a brief list…Today I can walk 2 miles, today I am wearing 56 inch jeans and threw away the 58 & 60s, today my belt is on the last notch and my friend Mike is saying “Man please get a new belt”, today I can wear a golf shirt I haven’t worn since my honeymoon 4 ½ years ago, today I can walk up steps without having to hold onto the rail.
I would be less than honest if I didn’t tell you that I am confused with the weigh in on Tuesday. It is frustrating to not have some back to back weeks of losses. But, it is two steps forward and one step back. The key is to not quit taking the steps. I asked why there couldn’t be a nice straight line going downward. The response was to think in terms of two parallel lines going downward. Just imagine that your weekly weigh in is staying within those lines and that the path is downward.
10 weeks of blogging and I weigh less and I am healthier. That works for me.
